There are a few States in America where the largest city has less than 100,000 people. The largest city in Montana is Billings and it has a population of about 83,000 people in the whole city. The state itself is almost 4 times bigger than South Korea. Some people have to travel 7 or 8 hours just to go shopping for clothes or groceries. That's why they all drive trucks. They have to buy a lot every trip to the store! Not very convenient, huh? A good movie for seeing small town life is "Where the Heart Is".
